About the role

King's College School, Cascais, part of the Inspired Education Group, is seeking an enthusiastic Year 5 Bilingual Portuguese‑English Teacher. The role involves delivering the primary curriculum in a bilingual environment, fostering academic excellence and holistic development for students up to Year 5.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, high‑quality lessons aligned with the Year 5 curriculum.
• Create an inclusive, stimulating classroom that supports academic, social and emotional growth.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress, using data to inform differentiated instruction.
• Communicate regularly with parents and carers about student wellbeing and achievement.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and school‑wide initiatives.
• Contribute to the pastoral life of the school, promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Upper Primary/Year 5 students.
• Strong subject knowledge and ability to deliver well‑structured lessons.
• Commitment to fostering critical thinking, independence and a love of learning.

Required skills

• Proficiency in both Portuguese and English.
