Year 5 Bilingual Teacher – Primary School

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Year 5 Bilingual Teacher to join King’s College School, Cascais. You will deliver the bilingual Portuguese‑English programme and the Cambridge International curriculum, fostering academic, social and emotional growth in a supportive primary setting.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons aligned with the Year 5 curriculum.
• Create an inclusive, stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity, critical thinking and independence.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress, using data to inform differentiated instruction.
• Communicate regularly with parents and carers about student wellbeing and achievement.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and whole‑school initiatives.
• Contribute to the pastoral life of the school, promoting positive behaviour and student wellbeing.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Upper Primary/Year 5 students.
• Strong subject knowledge and ability to deliver engaging lessons.
• Enthusiastic, effective and committed to student development.
