JavaScript Developer (AI-focused)

About the role

Syffer is seeking a JavaScript Developer to build and maintain high‑performance web applications, with a strong emphasis on integrating AI‑powered features. You will work remotely with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain JavaScript‑based applications focusing on performance, scalability and maintainability.
• Design and integrate AI‑driven functionalities such as large language models, APIs and automation workflows.
• Collaborate with Data Science, Product and Engineering teams to translate AI use cases into functional software.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and third‑party services to support AI features.
• Participate in code reviews, testing and continuous improvement of development practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug and optimise existing systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.

Required profile

• Solid experience with JavaScript development.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and interest or experience integrating AI services.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, asynchronous programming and system integration.
• Comfortable working in agile environments with iterative delivery.
• Problem‑solver with attention to detail and good communication skills.
• Proactive, curious and motivated to work on innovative AI‑driven solutions.
