HR Consultant – Employee Relations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Consultant specialized in Employee Relations to join our international team. You will act as a trusted advisor to managers, providing coaching and guidance on complex people issues while ensuring compliance and fostering a positive organizational culture.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one coaching to managers on performance, wellbeing, restructuring and other complex employee scenarios.
• Lead or support the resolution of sensitive employee relations cases in partnership with HR and Legal.
• Manage policy and culture‑related concerns, including incident response and risk mitigation.
• Identify and escalate trends in employee relations, advising on proactive solutions.
• Contribute to and implement HR programs and capability‑building initiatives at scale.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure consistency in HR practices.

Required profile

• 5–8+ years of HR experience, preferably in Employee Relations or HR consulting.
• Strong knowledge of Portuguese labour law; knowledge of Italian labour law is a plus.
• Proven ability to handle complex, high‑risk cases independently.
• Experience working with legal teams and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent coaching, influencing and communication skills.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and sensitive situations with confidence.
• Fluent English (C1); Italian (B2) is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree + 5 years HR experience or Master’s degree + 3 years experience.
