Software Engineer - AI (f/m/div.)

About the role

Bosch Service Solutions in Lisbon develops and offers Customer Experience, Mobility and Monitoring solutions for its clients, and provides Engineering and Software Development services. As a Software Engineer - AI, you will join a team building scalable software solutions based on modern microservice architectures, working across the software development lifecycle from designing and implementing new features to deploying and optimizing applications in production. You will also work with emerging AI/ML and Large Language Model (LLM) technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance software in a microservice architecture with clean, efficient and maintainable code.
• Write and maintain unit tests, take part in code reviews and give constructive feedback to improve code quality.
• Deploy applications using Kubernetes and Helm, supported by modern CI/CD practices.
• Design, develop and test REST APIs and work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Contribute to integrating AI/ML, Generative AI and LLMs into software solutions.
• Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues and optimize solutions for scalability and reliability.
• Work with cross-functional teams and share knowledge through clear technical documentation.

Required profile

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience in software development and with modern software architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Go (Golang) is valued; solid programming experience and the ability to learn Go quickly is also acceptable.
• Experience with C and/or Python is relevant.
• Good written and spoken English.

Required skills

• REST APIs, PostgreSQL or MySQL, and Git.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, containerization and CI/CD is valued.
• Knowledge of AI, ML, Generative AI, prompt engineering or LLMs is an advantage; familiarity with LangChain or similar frameworks is also valued.
• React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, AWS, GCP or Azure are a plus.
