AI/ML Engineer - Generative AI Pipelines

About the role

Devoteam is looking for a versatile AI/ML engineer to join its data science and engineering team. The role bridges data science research and production-ready applications, building scalable machine learning systems that drive business value. It requires a strong balance of software engineering principles and ML expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy end-to-end AI pipelines, integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) and foundation models into production environments.
• Work with stakeholders to turn AI prototypes and experimental agents into scalable, production-grade systems, applying modern LLM Ops practices.
• Write robust, efficient code in Python using LangChain, LlamaIndex or AutoGPT, and PyTorch or TensorFlow when needed.
• Implement monitoring for AI applications, covering output quality, hallucination detection and performance tracking (e.g. RAGas or Arize Phoenix).
• Collaborate with Data Engineers on efficient data pipelines for vector databases (Chroma, Pinecone, Weaviate) and optimized context retrieval for RAG.
• Explore new techniques in prompt engineering, fine-tuning and agentic workflows.

Required profile

• 3+ years as an AI Engineer, ML Developer or Software Engineer focused on AI integration.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related quantitative field.
• Ability to translate business needs into AI solutions and explain technical logic to non-technical teams.
• Professional level of English, written and spoken.

• Strong Python and LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex)
• Generative AI, prompt engineering and fine-tuning of foundation models (OpenAI, Hugging Face, Anthropic)
• Vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma) and SQL
• Cloud AI platforms (Azure AI, Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock) and LLMOps
• Docker and API development (FastAPI/Flask)
