Senior Dev / DevOps Tech Lead - Nearshore Aerospace

About the role

Devoteam is looking for a highly skilled Dev / DevOps Senior Tech Lead to join its nearshore team in Portugal for a major aerospace customer. As the primary technical authority, you will coach engineers, handle complex L2/L3 escalations and drive application and infrastructure development, working closely with Portuguese and French engineering teams on robust AWS serverless solutions with smooth Run & Build integration.

Key responsibilities

• Act as technical reference and mentor for the Dev/DevOps team, promoting high standards of code quality and architecture
• Design, develop and maintain application software (Go, Angular/TypeScript) and cloud infrastructure (AWS Serverless, Terraform)
• Handle complex L2/L3 escalations, run root cause analysis and resolve high-impact issues
• Lead CI/CD pipeline automation, automated testing and deployment across development, QA and production
• Take part in the build backlog: core features, refactoring and improving scalability
• Facilitate knowledge transfer from French build teams and ensure L2 to L3 handover of operational support
• Conduct code reviews, enforce cloud architecture best practices and optimise system performance

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, cloud architecture and DevOps
• Previous experience in L2/L3 production support, troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Fluent written and spoken English
