People Operations Specialist

About the role

Air Apps, a Lisbon-founded company building an AI-powered personal and entrepreneurial resource planner, is looking for a People Operations Specialist to sit at the heart of its HR and recruiting operations. The role covers recruitment, onboarding, documentation and employee support, keeping the workplace compliant and well organized. It is a fully onsite position in Lisbon, working closely with cross-functional teams in person; relocation support is available.

Key responsibilities

• Day-to-day HR tasks such as payroll coordination, benefits administration and employee data management
• Clarifying HR policies and answering employee questions accurately and empathetically
• Supporting internal HR initiatives, people programs and team communications
• Maintaining HR processes, SOPs and templates so they stay compliant and up to date
• Managing recruitment end to end: job postings, candidate sourcing, interview scheduling and process coordination, with a positive candidate experience
• Onboarding new hires and coordinating their integration into the team

Required profile

• At least 2 years of recruiting experience, including sourcing, interviewing and negotiating offers, preferably in a consultancy or fast-paced setting
• Experience supporting HR operations such as payroll, benefits and employee services
• Familiarity with the Portuguese labor law framework is a significant plus
• Excellent written and spoken English; Portuguese is a bonus

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, especially Ashby
• Proficiency with LinkedIn tools, especially LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing platforms
• Strong attention to detail, organization and ability to manage multiple priorities
