People Operations Specialist

About the role

Air Apps, a family-founded company building an AI-powered Personal & Entrepreneurial Resource Planner, is looking for a People Operations Specialist. You will sit at the heart of HR and recruiting operations, making sure key people processes run smoothly and on time, from recruitment and onboarding to documentation and employee support. This is a fully onsite position in Lisbon, working closely with cross-functional teams in person; the company is open to supporting relocation.

Key responsibilities

• Day-to-day HR tasks such as payroll coordination, benefits administration and employee data management
• Clarifying HR policies and answering employee questions accurately and empathetically
• Supporting internal HR initiatives, people programs and team communications
• Maintaining HR documentation, SOPs and templates so the HR environment stays compliant
• Recruitment support: job postings, candidate sourcing, interview scheduling and process coordination, keeping hiring managers updated and improving the candidate experience
• Onboarding: coordinating logistics and welcoming new hires

Required profile

• At least 2 years of recruiting experience, including sourcing, interviewing and negotiating offers, preferably in a consultancy or fast-paced setting
• Experience supporting HR operations such as payroll, benefits and employee services
• Familiarity with the Portuguese labour law framework is a significant plus
• Excellent written and spoken English; Portuguese is a bonus

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, especially Ashby
• Proficiency with LinkedIn tools, especially LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing platforms
• Strong attention to detail, organization and ability to manage several priorities
