Assistant Housekeeping Manager

About the role

Four Seasons Lisbon is looking for a passionate leader to join its team as Assistant Housekeeping Manager. The role supports the Housekeeping Manager in supervising the Housekeeping and Laundry teams so that guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces consistently meet Four Seasons cleanliness and presentation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Housekeeping Manager with team scheduling, recruitment, onboarding, training, performance evaluations and disciplinary actions when required.
• Inspect guest rooms, corridors and public areas regularly to uphold quality, consistency and brand standards.
• Oversee daily assignments to ensure productivity, quality benchmarks and guest expectations are met.
• Hold daily briefings covering arrivals, owner requirements, special requests and operational challenges.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests and complaints promptly and professionally, and follow up on guest needs and operational issues.
• Work closely with Front Office, Engineering, Valet and off-site laundry, and maintain good relations with outsourced cleaning partners.
• Uphold health, safety and hygiene policies and oversee stock control and inventory of linens, cleaning supplies and equipment.

Required profile

• Previous experience in housekeeping supervision or a senior housekeeping role in hospitality.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills, with a positive, approachable attitude.
• Service experience, attention to detail, problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
• Fluent spoken and written Portuguese and English.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Authorization to work in an EU country.
