Sr Specialist GBS Credit & Collections (French Speaker)

About the role

The Credit & Collections team at adidas Europe seeks a Senior Specialist to ensure timely collection of receivables, manage credit risk, and support finance projects. The role requires close collaboration with customers and internal stakeholders while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Collect open receivables by working with customers and internal teams, resolving payment issues promptly.
• Allocate payments accurately and handle discrepancies within defined timeframes.
• Manage escalations, provide proactive feedback, and propose solutions aligned with department policy.
• Back‑up the Team Leader on complex operational situations and train other team members.
• Lead short‑term finance projects and support larger finance‑operation initiatives.
• Maintain customer relationships, conduct root‑cause analysis, and resolve problems.
• Assess credit risk regularly and recommend actions to mitigate exposure.
• Track disputes, route them to the appropriate department, and follow up until closure.
• Identify improvement opportunities, support implementation, and ensure strong financial controls.

Required profile

• Strong finance acumen with solid experience in a shared‑service or similar environment.
• Proficiency in English and French for business communication.
• Excellent attention to detail and high customer orientation.
• Ability to navigate complex organizations and collaborate across functions.
