Social Media Manager

About the role

Darkroom is seeking a Social Media Manager to own day‑to‑day social strategy and execution across a portfolio of client accounts. This fully remote position supports an EST‑based team and requires a deep cultural pulse and hands‑on community management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage creative execution for organic social programs across multiple client accounts.
• Partner with the Director of Creative Strategy to build social calendars and brief designers and editors.
• Lead community management to actively grow communities, not just respond.
• Write copy for posts, adapt tone per platform, and translate performance data into creative direction.
• Maintain quality and consistency of high‑volume social output and keep accounts organized operationally.

Required profile

• 3+ years building distinctive brand voices and engaged communities on social platforms.
• Fluent in social media metrics and able to turn data into strategic decisions.
• Current understanding of cultural trends and platform algorithm shifts.
• Comfortable presenting work to clients and managing day‑to‑day client relationships.

Required skills

• Experience with Sprout Social or a similar social‑management platform.
• Proficient use of AI tools within the workflow.
• Strong grasp of Meta, TikTok, and Instagram platforms.
