Senior Pharmacovigilance Officer / Team Leader

About the role

Ergomed’s PrimeVigilance team is looking for an experienced Pharmacovigilance professional to lead a dedicated ICSR team in Lisbon. The role combines hands‑on case processing with line‑management responsibilities, ensuring high‑quality safety data handling for global clients.

Key responsibilities

• Line‑manage assigned ICSR staff, delegating tasks and monitoring performance.
• Create and maintain project‑specific KPIs, optimise procedures and deliver training to improve team efficiency.
• Review trackers and timesheet data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Participate in ICSR processing and perform second‑level quality checks on cases.
• Propose process changes to the ICSR Operational Lead and manage ICSR deviations.
• Act as the Local Contact Person for Pharmacovigilance (LCPPV) and Person Responsible for Local Screening (PRLS) for the designated language.
• Support other departments as directed by the ICSR Operational Lead.

Required profile

• Life‑science degree (pharmacy, nursing or related) or equivalent pharmacovigilance experience.
• 3–4 years of pharmacovigilance experience, including at least 1 year in a line‑manager role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong organisational abilities, attention to detail and capacity to multitask.
• Proven delegation, planning and time‑management capabilities.
• Team‑working attitude and ability to collaborate across functions.
