Retrofit Specialist (Maternity Leave Cover)

About the role

We are looking for a Retrofit Specialist to join Airbus’ Customer Services team in Lisbon on a maternity‑leave cover basis. The role is responsible for end‑to‑end retrofit management, from initiating and planning mitigation solutions to monitoring their delivery against programme targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the deployment of technical retrofit solutions on behalf of the programme and ensure alignment with cost, time and quality objectives.
• Translate programme retrofit requirements into inputs for supply‑chain, engineering and procurement teams and support industrialisation of retrofit kits.
• Collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager to prioritise customer orders, negotiate supplier capacity and monitor material delivery for each aircraft.
• Manage relationships with major airline operators, define retrofit packages for groundings and support the execution of structural retrofit campaigns.

Required profile

• Customer‑focused mindset with strong relationship‑building and expectation‑management skills.
• Ability to quickly acquire aircraft technical knowledge and communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven experience in programme management, coordinating cross‑functional teams and driving project consistency.
• Problem‑solving, proactive attitude and good organisational capabilities.
• Advanced English (written and spoken); additional language is a plus.
