About the role
DataCamp is seeking a hands‑on, detail‑oriented Lifecycle & Retention Marketing Manager to design, execute and optimise multi‑channel communications that help learners start, stay and succeed on the platform. You will work at scale, managing over 150 automated email programs and millions of monthly sends, while partnering with the Director of Lifecycle Marketing on strategy and owning flawless execution.
Key responsibilities
- Optimise subscription acquisition, renewal and lead‑generation metrics through relevant, resonant messaging.
- Ensure flawless campaign production with rigorous QA of builds, rendering, links and tracking.
- Personalise at scale using behavioural and lifecycle signals for dynamic content and branching logic.
- Plan and ship campaigns across email, mobile push, in‑app and browser notifications for free, B2C, B2B and academic users.
- Support the experimentation roadmap: build hypothesis backlogs, design A/B/n tests, document results and translate insights into roadmap decisions.
- Design and improve automated journeys for onboarding, activation, habit formation, re‑engagement, cross‑sell/upsell and churn prevention.
- Maintain list hygiene, deliverability and compliance with GDPR, CCPA, CAN‑SPAM and PECR.
- Prototype low‑code automations (e.g., n8n, Make.com) and responsibly use AI tools for copy ideation and analysis.
Required profile

Required skills
- Experience with Customer.io or similar platforms (Iterable, SFMC, Braze).
- Working knowledge of HTML and Liquid for message personalisation.
- SQL proficiency for data extraction and reporting.
- Familiarity with CDP concepts.
- Ability to build low‑code automations using tools like n8n or Make.com.
- Comfort with AI‑assisted workflow creation.
