Lead Export Compliance Officer

About the role

As a Lead Export Compliance Officer at Honeywell, you will ensure that all export activities comply with international trade regulations. You will work closely with engineering, supply‑chain and senior management to classify products, manage risks and support compliant cross‑border collaborations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement export classification policies, procedures, tools and training.
• Provide guidance to business units on complex export compliance matters, focusing on classification issues.
• Advise senior management on compliance risks and recommend mitigation actions.
• Lead internal investigations of potential violations and oversee corrective actions.
• Assess classification accuracy and program adherence, monitoring regulatory changes and communicating updates.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed export compliance in operations and transactions.
• Manage relationships with external legal counsel and government agencies.

Required profile

• Engineering or technical background with proven export compliance experience.
• In‑depth knowledge of export regulations such as ITAR and EAR.
• Demonstrated ability to perform export classification determinations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, able to manage multiple priorities independently.
