IT Support Specialist – Spanish Fluent

About the role

Devoteam is looking for an IT Support specialist for its retail and ecommerce unit in Porto, Portugal. The role provides high-quality technical support to end users and keeps IT systems, networks and equipment running smoothly. Fluency in Spanish is mandatory because of regular contact with teams in Spain, and understanding of Portuguese is also required since the position is based at the headquarters in Gaia.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to users on site and remotely, resolving IT incidents and issues
• Configure, install and maintain hardware and software, with a focus on Microsoft Windows environments
• Take part in IT operations projects, especially technology implementations and the opening of new stores
• Help manage and update hardware and software inventories
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance and repair of IT equipment
• Travel to stores to give technical support, perform preventive maintenance and identify requirements
• Install and organise cabling, server racks and network infrastructure
• Ensure compliance with security policies and protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information

Required profile

• Vocational or technical training in IT or a related field
• Experience in technical support, IT equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Experience installing cabling and organising IT and data centre racks
• Fluent Spanish (mandatory) and understanding of Portuguese
• Valid driving licence, as the role involves regular contact with teams in Spain
• Willingness to travel nationwide and work flexible hours when required

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows 11 and Active Directory
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills

Working conditions

• On-site work, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• One standby day per month (on site until 4 p.m., then travel home and standby duty)
• On-call availability weekdays 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. and weekends and public holidays 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
