Human Resources Advisor

About the role

TSL is seeking a proactive Human Resources Advisor to support its growing engineering and construction business across the UK, Ireland and Europe. You will act as the first point of contact for employees and managers, ensuring HR processes are efficient, compliant and aligned with the company’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate HR records, including personnel files, training logs and absence tracking.
• Prepare HR reports and dashboards to aid operational and strategic decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with employment law, industry regulations and internal HR policies.
• Assist in reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures.
• Oversee onboarding and induction of new hires.
• Provide expert advice to managers on disciplinary matters, grievances, performance management and absence management.

Required profile

• CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) preferred.
• Degree in HR, Business or a related field is an advantage.
• Several years’ experience as an HR Advisor or in a similar role, ideally within construction or a blue‑collar environment.
• Proven experience managing employee‑relations cases from start to finish.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with HRIS systems.
