Housekeeper

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Housekeeper to join the Residential Services Department at Discovery Land Company’s Costa Terra community in Portugal. The role involves maintaining a clean, welcoming environment across the clubhouse, public areas, amenities and private residences, supporting the high‑standard experience expected by members and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and organize offices, kitchens, bathrooms, outdoor spaces and refrigeration units.
• Maintain coffee machines, toasters, air‑conditioners and other equipment.
• Vacuum carpets, sweep, scrub and mop floors, and clean windows, doors and glass surfaces.
• Dust furniture, picture frames, shelves and perform detailed cleaning of ceilings, vents, light fixtures, skylights and high‑reach areas.
• Empty and reliner trash containers, restock soap and paper products, and ensure all areas are sanitary.
• Submit work‑completion billing to management and perform any additional duties assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum six months of housekeeping experience, preferably in a high‑end residential or hospitality setting.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Physical capability to perform cleaning tasks and operate machinery safely.

Required skills

• Knowledge of professional cleaning products, techniques and health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
