Global Account Director – Payment Partnerships (WooCommerce)

About the role

The Global Account Director, Payment Partnerships will own one of the most strategic global commercial relationships for WooCommerce. Based in Portugal, you will drive revenue growth, executive engagement, and long‑term partnership success across international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the strategic and commercial success of a major global payment partnership, delivering sustained revenue growth.
• Develop and execute multi‑year partnership strategies aligned with product roadmaps, investment priorities and market opportunities.
• Build trusted executive‑level relationships, serving as the primary contact for the partner organization.
• Conduct business reviews, strategic planning sessions, contract renewals and commercial negotiations.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams (product, engineering, marketing, legal, finance, operations) to execute partnership initiatives.
• Identify and pursue expansion opportunities into new markets, merchant segments and payment capabilities.
• Monitor performance through KPIs, financial analysis and executive reporting.
• Translate payment capability requirements into actionable priorities and support technical integration efforts.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, enterprise account management, business development or commercial leadership within the payments industry.
• Proven track record of managing and growing large‑scale strategic partnerships with significant recurring revenue.
• Deep understanding of the global payments ecosystem and emerging technologies.
• Strong executive presence, strategic thinking and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
