Financial Controller – Mid Level (Lisbon)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Financial Controller to join our finance team in Lisbon. The role focuses on ensuring accurate accounting control for a specific product perimeter, supporting month‑end closing, and contributing to system‑wide finance projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform accounting reconciliation and maintain control over inventory and sensitive accounts.
• Analyse discrepancies, assess operational and financial risks, and manage escalations to management.
• Collaborate with internal partners, anticipate pre‑closing issues, and communicate findings during and after the closing process.
• Drive continuous improvement of control procedures and reduce manual adjustments.
• Lead or support efficiency projects, including the migration from CODA to the OFS Group Ledger.
• Participate in testing, training, and post‑go‑live support for finance‑related system changes.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Fluent English; French is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong accounting knowledge.
• Understanding of financial markets concepts.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel.
• Competent with the MS Office suite.
