Extracurricular Internship: Monitoring Industry 4.0

About the role

Join Bosch’s Aveiro R&D centre as an Extracurricular Intern focused on monitoring Industry 4.0 applications. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to design, implement and improve observability solutions that support our heating‑system production lines.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and solve problems related to the monitoring of industrial applications.
• Research, design and document architecture decision records for observability components.
• Write pull requests, review code and suggest improvements.
• Debug and test Kubernetes clusters using a GitOps workflow.
• Develop minor web‑based tools to support monitoring dashboards.

Required profile

• University degree in engineering, computer science or a related scientific field.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Proactive attitude, willingness to learn and strong analytical mindset.
• Methodical, process‑oriented approach to work.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• C# with ASP.NET.
• Golang.
• Kubernetes.
• OpenTelemetry.
• Elasticsearch, Kibana and Beats.
• Azure DevOps, Ansible, Terraform, FluxCD, Helm, JFrog.
