Assistant Human Resources Manager

About the role

The Assistant Human Resources Manager will support the hotel’s HR function, reporting to the General Manager. The role ensures HR policies are implemented, manages employee relations, and supports recruitment, training and performance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage recruitment and hiring activities, including sourcing, interviewing, coordinating with agencies, and ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
• Assist in HR budgeting, workforce planning, and monitoring HR expenditures against the budget.
• Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and cross‑training programmes to promote employee development and operational flexibility.
• Handle employee relations matters such as grievances, disciplinary actions, and workplace disputes while maintaining compliance with local laws.
• Develop and deliver training programmes, maintain training records, and evaluate the effectiveness of learning initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, management operations, or a related field, preferably in hospitality.
• Two‑year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong knowledge of Portuguese language and employment law.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using Oasys HRMS.
• Familiarity with FMC systems.
