Snowflake Data Engineer (French Speaker) – Remote

About the role

Keyrus is looking for a Snowflake Data Engineer who is fluent in French to help clients modernise their data platforms. The position is fully remote from Portugal and focuses on large‑scale migrations from Hadoop/Hive to Snowflake within the insurance sector.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in enterprise‑scale migration projects from Hadoop/Hive to Snowflake.
• Design and develop ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and near‑real‑time data ingestion.
• Build scalable, optimised Snowflake data models and transformations.
• Work with Snowflake, SQL, Python, PySpark, Snowpark, Spark and Databricks.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, governance and security throughout migration activities.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and business stakeholders across international teams.
• Support continuous improvement and optimisation of enterprise data platforms.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Snowflake, including data modelling, performance optimisation and security implementation.
• Proven experience in data migration and modernisation projects.
• Fluent in French.
