Software Engineer – Cloud‑Native Retail Platform

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our fast‑growing retail‑tech startup. You will help build and evolve our cloud‑native platform that connects POS, eCommerce, ERP and other systems, enabling retailers to deliver seamless omnichannel experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers and architects to translate functional designs into robust software components.
• Write, configure, unit‑test, maintain and document code following established standards.
• Design reusable libraries, frameworks and micro‑services.
• Participate in proof‑of‑concepts, prototyping and technology evaluation.
• Mentor junior engineers and enforce coding standards.
• Contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies, code reviews and sprint retrospectives.
• Work closely with QA to ensure quality releases.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software development experience, preferably full‑stack or backend focused.
• Strong knowledge of integration patterns, RESTful APIs and event‑driven architectures.
• Experience with micro‑services, containerisation and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
