Junior HR Assistant – Labor Relations

About the role

Nonius is seeking a Junior HR Assistant focused on Labor Relations to support its fast‑growing hospitality‑technology business. Based in Maia, Portugal, you will provide administrative and operational support for admissions, employee development and workplace compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all administrative tasks related to new employee admissions and coordinate a smooth onboarding experience.
• Serve as the first point of contact for day‑to‑day employee inquiries, ensuring timely and helpful resolutions.
• Assist in planning and delivering the annual employee training and development program.
• Monitor and enforce Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) regulations within the assigned operational area.
• Organise and conduct annual employee satisfaction and feedback surveys to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer‑centric approach.
• Proactive, adaptable, solution‑oriented mindset and eagerness to learn.
• Strong sense of accountability, initiative and discretion with confidential information.
• Interest in AI tools, HR automation and emerging workplace technologies.
• Full professional fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
