Cybersecurity Analyst

About the role

Komodo Consulting is looking for a proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to join a technology client project. The role focuses on detection, vulnerability management and incident response within a hybrid Lisbon environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the detection lifecycle on an XDR platform (e.g., Palo Alto, CrowdStrike), creating and tuning detection rules and triaging security events.
• Perform vulnerability assessments across the infrastructure, generate clear reports and drive remediation with relevant teams.
• Serve as a security reference, raise awareness and embed threat modeling into development processes.
• Support incident response from containment through recovery, document findings and apply lessons learned using frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
• Develop automation scripts (Python, Bash) and apply Infrastructure as Code principles to scale security tooling.
• Contribute to the evolution of internal security processes and evaluate emerging solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in at least two cybersecurity domains.
• Strong communication skills in English (B2 level or higher) and ability to work in a fully English‑speaking team.
• Experience with XDR platforms, vulnerability management tools and API‑based automation is a plus.
