Competence Development Management for Quality Function

About the role

This position supports Airbus Defence and Space’s Federated Academies by shaping the competence strategy for the Quality function. The role drives professional growth, ensures a robust learning culture, and aligns training solutions with short‑, medium‑ and long‑term business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a competence strategy for the Quality domain, fostering a modern learning culture.
• Anticipate industry trends, identify emerging roles, and maintain the jobs catalogue and job mapping.
• Conduct gap analyses to pinpoint skill needs and keep the organisation competitive.
• Manage the lifecycle of jobs and competence catalogues, ensuring learning solutions match current and future requirements.
• Define requirements for new training solutions, partnering with internal subject‑matter experts and external providers.
• Deploy learning paths, collaborate with trainers, and apply corrective actions when deviations occur.
• Participate in communication strategies to promote knowledge sharing across the network.
• Contribute to transversal projects to ensure consistency in learning standards and drive organisational synergy.

Required profile

• Strategic and operational experience within engineering, industrial, procurement or quality environments.
• Proven ability to design competence frameworks and manage learning portfolios.
• Strong analytical skills to perform gap analysis and anticipate future skill demands.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
