About the role

PenFed is seeking a Bank Teller to join its San Patricio Financial Center in Puerto Rico. The role focuses on delivering best‑in‑class member experiences by handling teller transactions, promoting PenFed products, and supporting the branch sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist current and prospective members in person or by phone.
• Evaluate member needs and recommend appropriate financial products and services.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of PenFed’s membership, checking, credit cards, loans, and other offerings.
• Assist members with PenFed Online, mobile banking, and other remote channels.
• Resolve complex member issues within delegated limits.
• Prepare loan documents for review and disbursement as needed.
• Maintain cash‑drawer limits, balance the drawer daily, and prepare settlement sheets.
• Record deposits, withdrawals, checks, POS transactions, and share drafts accurately.
• Support daily branch balancing and closing procedures.
• Participate in training new teammates and provide input on marketing projects.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to evaluate member needs.
• Sales mindset to uncover opportunities and promote PenFed products.
• Attention to detail for cash handling, balancing, and documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the Branch Service Representative sales team.
• Willingness to stay current on competitive products and PenFed policies.
