Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will maintain accurate financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support the organization’s financial operations. This role is essential for recording transactions, preparing reconciliations, and assisting with month‑end and year‑end close processes.

Key responsibilities

• Record, classify, and maintain financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Perform monthly bank, credit‑card, and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing activities.
• Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting analyses as requested.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Help prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Assist internal and external audits by providing schedules and documentation.
• Contribute to tax filings and regulatory reporting where applicable.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and strengthen internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with general‑ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems is preferred.
