Collagen Pack Assembler I – 2nd Shift

About the role

The Collagen Pack Assembler I works on the 2nd shift in a clean‑room environment, preparing and packaging collagen sponge products for medical device applications. The role supports production schedules by ensuring accurate labeling, precise cutting, thorough inspection, and proper sealing of each pack.

Key responsibilities

• Write labels with product details (description, quantity, name, etc.).
• Cut collagen sponges to specified dimensions using cutting equipment.
• Visually inspect products for defects, surface patterns, razor cuts, open edges, foreign matter, and verify thickness with a measurement gauge.
• Pack products according to shop orders using Alloyd sealing machines.
• Read and interpret shop orders, blueprints, and procedures to meet specifications.
• Complete required documentation on shop orders and related forms.
• Assist teammates to achieve priority orders and maintain productivity targets.
• Follow clean‑room gowning practices, wear required protective equipment, and keep the work area organized.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–6 months experience in a medical‑device manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Ability to read and understand English technical documents.
• Manual dexterity for handling small parts and hand tools.

Required skills

• Operation of cutting equipment for precise material sizing.
• Use of measurement gauges to verify product thickness.
• Operation of Alloyd sealing machines for product packaging.
• Reading and interpreting shop orders, blueprints, and manufacturing procedures.
• Clean‑room gowning and use of personal protective equipment.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and complaint reporting.
