Project Manager – Pharmaceutical Engineering

About the role

LaSalle Group is seeking a Project Manager to lead capital and operational engineering projects within a cGMP‑regulated solid dosage form pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The role ensures initiatives that support production continuity, capacity expansion, and equipment qualification are delivered on time, within budget, and in full regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of assigned engineering projects, from initiation through closeout.
• Plan, execute, monitor, and close capital projects, including equipment installation, commissioning, and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations using PMI/PMBOK methodology.
• Coordinate validation and change‑control activities with Quality Assurance and Validation Engineering teams.
• Facilitate project governance, including steering‑committee updates, stage‑gate reviews, and change‑control board participation.
• Ensure all deliverables comply with FDA 21 CFR Part 210/211, cGMP, and EHS standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Active PMP® certification (or in active pursuit).
• 5–7 years of project‑management experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life‑sciences manufacturing.
• Experience with equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), validation lifecycle, and change‑control processes.
• Professional proficiency in English; Spanish preferred for Puerto Rico‑based facilities.

Required skills

• PMP® certification.
• Project‑management tools: MS Project, Primavera P6, Smartsheet.
• Equipment qualification methods (IQ, OQ, PQ) and validation lifecycle knowledge.
• Change‑control process expertise.
• PMI/PMBOK‑based project‑management methodology.
• Regulatory knowledge of FDA cGMP (21 CFR Parts 210/211) and EHS requirements.
• Quality‑system platforms such as TrackWise and Veeva.
