Buyer - PPE (Maternity Leave Cover)

About the role

This position joins Airbus Portugal's General Procurement organization, focusing on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the Airbus group worldwide. It covers sourcing, contracting, catalogue implementation and operational support during ordering and invoicing phases.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the sourcing activity and manage tendering and contract negotiations to secure optimal purchasing conditions.
• Complete a major ongoing call for tender for all Airbus plants across Europe.
• Implement and monitor contracts throughout innovation, development, serial production and support phases.
• Manage day‑to‑day supplier relationships and projects to optimise customer value while minimising total cost of ownership and risks.
• Contribute to multidivisional teams throughout the tendering, contracting and contract‑life‑cycle phases.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of procurement experience, preferably as a buyer or in supply‑chain/logistics roles close to contract management.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal); French and/or German are a plus.
• Comfortable working remotely and collaborating with teams in France, Germany, Spain and Portugal.
• Strong integrity and adherence to ethical procurement processes.
