People Advisor

About the role

Maersk is looking for a People Advisor to join its Global Operations Team in Lisbon. The role supports the Headquarters in Denmark and works within the People Operations Advisory team to enhance employee experience across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with HR procedures, policies, systems and regulations for the HQ.
• Respond to HR queries via Workday and chat platforms.
• Support training and change‑management initiatives.
• Manage case resolution from opening to closure, including escalations.
• Guide employees and managers in using self‑service tools such as Workday.
• Maintain HR data quality and perform transactions within HR systems.
• Prepare and manage HR documentation, onboarding and off‑boarding processes.
• Execute system updates, including performance form uploads.
• Provide face‑to‑face administrative support and general HR assistance throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Analyse feedback to continuously improve the employee experience.

Required profile

• Customer‑oriented, energetic and passionate about delivering excellent employee experiences.
• Previous experience in HR or a customer‑facing service role with an interest in HR.
• Degree in Human Resources or a related field is a strong advantage.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and conflict‑management skills.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Comfortable working as part of a virtual team.
