O2C Collections Specialist – French Speaker

About the role

Join a global industrial company that is building a new Global Business Services hub in Portugal. As an O2C Collections Specialist you will manage collections activities, maintain positive customer relationships and help ensure timely cash inflow for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop customer relationships, resolve issues and perform root‑cause analysis for non‑payment.
• Track and collect trade receivables proactively to secure timely payments.
• Drive the collections workflow, including dunning, dispute handling and cash‑collection tasks.
• Ensure compliance with credit policies and resolve business queries within agreed timeframes.
• Assess the impact of non‑payment on operations and escalate when necessary.
• Participate in collections projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Own assigned targets and objectives, delivering consistent performance.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree (preferred) and 2‑5 years of experience in Collections, Credit Management, SSC, Accounting or related finance areas.
• Strong business‑oriented mindset with knowledge of credit, billing, payment allocation and sales‑operations processes.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and French.
• Excellent communication, prioritisation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive, independent yet effective team player.
