Legal Counsel – French Speaker (Renewable Energy)

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Legal Counsel who is fluent in French to join our growing renewable‑energy business. The role will support the Construction, Operations & Maintenance business lines of the Renvolt group, providing commercial and contract advice for national and international projects.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse, draft and negotiate EPC and O&M contracts for renewable power plants.
• Review and negotiate subcontracting, supply and consortium agreements.
• Respond to third‑party tenders and pre‑qualification questionnaires on behalf of the company.
• Maintain contract templates and standard legal documents.
• Lead the digitalisation of legal operations, including evaluation and deployment of a CLM solution and AI‑assisted contract tools.
• Identify and mitigate legal and contractual risks, and manage customer and supplier claims.
• Coordinate with external counsel for pre‑litigation, litigation and arbitral disputes.
• Provide general legal advice across business lines and keep up to date with relevant case law and regulations.
• Contribute to internal policy drafting and support the Legal Manager on ad‑hoc matters.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Law, International Law or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial or contract law, preferably in construction, EPC or renewable‑energy projects.
• Proven ability to work with contracts governed by common law (English or Irish law).
• Fluent in English; French, Portuguese or Spanish is a plus.
• Willingness to work in Portugal.

• Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platforms.
