HR Coordinator (Hospitality)

About the role

The Lisbon Marriott Hotel is seeking an enthusiastic HR Coordinator to support its Human Resources team. This position plays a key role in maintaining employee records, assisting candidates, and ensuring smooth HR operations within Portugal's largest hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain filing systems for employee documentation.
• Prepare and type office correspondence, distribute mail, and manage HR supplies.
• Answer phone calls, record messages, and assist walk‑in candidates with application procedures.
• Maintain a clean, accessible application area, including accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
• Respond to employee and management inquiries regarding HR policies, programs, and guidelines.
• Inform HR management of employee‑relations issues and ensure confidentiality of records.
• Accurately maintain employee files, including interview documents and I‑9 forms.

Required profile

• Previous experience working in Human Resources.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese.
• Proactive, creative, and flexible mindset.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and collaboration abilities.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of payroll processes.
• Strong understanding of labor legislation.
