Finance Capital Markets Products Controller

About the role

The Finance Capital Markets Products Controller ensures the reliability, integrity and completeness of accounting for BNP Paribas’ Global Equity Capital Derivatives business, covering research, structuring, trading and sales of equity, index and fund derivatives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform level‑one accounting control for a defined product perimeter, including reconciliation with operational data and sensitive accounts.
• Analyse breaks, identify operational or financial risks, monitor discrepancies and manage escalations.
• Collaborate with operations, back‑office and middle‑office teams, anticipate issues before closing and communicate findings during and after closing.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of control processes and reduce manual adjustments.
• Develop and formalise team procedures, training materials and onboarding guides.
• Lead or support projects to enhance process efficiency, including the migration from CODA to the Group Ledger Operational Finance System (OFS) and other regulatory initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum three years of professional experience in finance and accounting.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong communication, teamwork and results‑driven attitude.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to deliver accurate work.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Matisse.
• Proficiency with Oracle Essbase.
