R2R Accountant – Finance Shared Services (Lisbon)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated R2R Accountant to join our growing Shared Services Center in Lisbon. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end record‑to‑report activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with IFRS/GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries according to accounting policies and closing calendars.
• Perform detailed balance‑sheet, sub‑ledger and intercompany reconciliations.
• Execute month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities, including Opex reporting.
• Validate balance‑sheet accounts, resolve variances and support half‑year and year‑end disclosures.
• Maintain audit‑ready documentation and support internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address finance‑related queries and drive continuous improvement.
• Monitor KPIs related to financial closing and reporting processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (mandatory).
• 2–4 years of experience in Record‑to‑Report, General Ledger or Financial Accounting.
• Experience in a Shared Services Center or multinational environment (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP accounting principles.
• Analytical mindset, high attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
• Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, etc.) are a plus.

Required skills

• SAP S/4HANA (mandatory).
• Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
