DevOps Engineer – Embedded Software CI/CD & Automation

About the role

As a DevOps Engineer for Embedded Software Automation & CI/CD at Bosch eBike, you will design and evolve the automation backbone that supports modern embedded software development. You will work in an international, agile team to improve developer experience, software quality, and release efficiency for innovative eBike components.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, operate, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines, including Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HIL) testing for embedded systems.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, Groovy, and Bash.
• Enhance and standardise the embedded development toolchain based on Git, Docker, Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Provide containerised development environments to ensure reproducibility and efficiency.
• Support developers and testers as the technical point of contact for CI/CD, automation, and tooling topics.
• Continuously improve build and validation processes with tools such as CMake, Ninja, Clang‑Tidy and Gcovr.
• Collect, structure, and visualise data and KPIs to boost software quality and observability.

Required profile

• Strong background in embedded software development and DevOps practices.
• Experience working in an agile, international team.
