Infrastructure Platform Engineer – eBike

About the role

As an Infrastructure Platform Engineer for Bosch eBike Systems, you will transform the physical test infrastructure into a scalable, automated, cloud‑like platform that supports global development and testing teams. Working at the intersection of hardware and software, you will ensure reliable, always‑available test environments that accelerate development cycles and enable daily releases.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement automated remote provisioning and zero‑touch OS deployment for Raspberry Pi devices using PXE, systemd and Ansible.
• Develop, maintain and scale Infrastructure‑as‑Code and configuration‑management solutions for globally distributed test environments.
• Administer, optimise and expand on‑premises virtualization platforms such as Proxmox VE to host critical services and virtualised test setups.
• Act as a Linux systems expert, tuning kernel performance, managing security hardening and ensuring high availability of test resources.
• Collaborate with software developers and testers to provide seamless hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) access across sites.

Required profile

• Strong background in Linux systems engineering and virtualization.
• Experience with automated provisioning, configuration management and IaC concepts.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with distributed engineering teams.
