Transaction Monitoring Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Transaction Monitoring Analyst to join Pleo’s AML Transaction Surveillance team. In this First Line of Defense position you will help protect the platform by detecting and investigating suspicious financial activity.

Key responsibilities

• Handle AML alerts and conduct investigations using our automated transaction surveillance system.
• Deep‑dive into complex cases, using multiple tools to identify suspicious activity.
• Prepare high‑quality investigation reports and escalate potential Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) to the Second Line of Defense.
• Write reports and present findings to the Risk Committee to influence strategic decisions.
• Participate in internal projects aimed at improving the surveillance framework.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in AML investigations within FinTech, a bank, or a regulator.
• Strong knowledge of EU and UK AML regulations and typical AML scenarios.
• Excellent investigative abilities with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for clear reporting and presentations.
• Proactive, self‑driven mindset and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
