Staff Frontend Engineer

About the role

bunch is building the backbone of private markets with an AI‑powered, secure platform. As a Staff Frontend Engineer you will shape the architecture, quality, and developer experience of the product surfaces used by customers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the migration from Svelte to React, maintaining a clear architectural picture across both stacks.
• Maintain and evolve the design system together with the frontend guild to ship consistent, accessible UI faster.
• Support and guide frontend initiatives across teams, covering architecture, performance, testing strategy, developer experience, and technical debt reduction.
• Raise the bar for UX and UI quality through design reviews, reusable patterns, mentoring, and technical writing.
• Advance AI‑native development practices, identifying where agentic tooling improves engineering and shaping the codebase accordingly.

Required profile

• Proven track record operating at Staff scope, delivering systemic frontend improvements across multiple teams.
• Deep expertise in modern frontend engineering, including TypeScript, component architecture, state management, design systems, accessibility, performance, and testing.
• Daily use of AI coding tools with a clear view of where they add value.
• Strong product judgment, translating ambiguous workflows into pragmatic, elegant experiences.
• Systems thinking across frontend, backend, APIs, infrastructure, observability, security, and compliance.
• Collaborative leadership style, influencing without formal authority and mentoring engineers.
• Fluent English, able to communicate complex technical decisions clearly.
