Solutions Architect

About the role

Hiscox Europe is looking for a Solutions Architect to join the Europe Technology Team in Lisbon. Reporting to the Europe Head of Architect, you will design and deliver technology solutions that support our insurance products and services, working closely with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Establish adaptable architecture that stays agile with evolving insurance‑industry principles and policies.
• Create dynamic, next‑generation insurance solutions by combining business insights with emerging technologies.
• Align technology initiatives with business objectives and promote industry best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, project leads, developers and fellow architects to ensure solutions meet business goals.
• Scout, evaluate and advise on emerging technologies relevant to insurance systems.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks to enhance security and resilience of insurance platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of experience in solution architecture, preferably within the insurance sector.
• Proven ability to deliver successful technical solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills for complex insurance challenges.
