AI & Automation Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an AI & Automation Engineer to join HAVI TechHUB in Lisbon. You will design, build and deploy production‑ready AI capabilities, focusing on Generative AI and agentic solutions that integrate with enterprise systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and operationalise Generative AI models, RAG pipelines and agent frameworks for supply‑chain applications.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise platforms using APIs, event streams, queues and ETL/ELT processes while ensuring security and identity controls.
• Monitor deployed models, handle logging, incident triage and continuously optimise performance and cost.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI/ML or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Professional experience in backend or full‑stack software engineering.
• Fluency in English and ability to work collaboratively with solution architects, analysts and business SMEs.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Generative AI technologies (RAG, prompt orchestration, tool/function calling, agent frameworks).
• API integration, event‑driven architecture, message queues and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Implementation of identity and security controls for AI services.
• Monitoring, logging, incident management and performance/cost optimisation.
