Software Engineer - Go

About the role

Paddle is looking for a Software Engineer who will own and develop Go‑based services that power our global payment platform. You will join a small, high‑impact team and work from concept through rollout, ensuring reliability for a system that processes hundreds of millions of dollars each month.

Key responsibilities

• Write high‑quality Go code for existing and new services in a large, event‑driven codebase.
• Collaborate with engineers, product designers, data analysts, and finance/legal experts.
• Design, implement, and launch features from initial planning to production.
• Continuously improve system quality, reliability, and performance.
• Own the full lifecycle of your code, including deployment, monitoring, and AWS infrastructure efficiency.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Go (interview will be Go‑based).
• Proactive attitude toward improving code and team processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate edge cases.
• Pride in building robust, production‑ready software.
• Intellectual curiosity about payments, finance, and technology.
