Social Media Coordinator and Strategist

About the role

We are seeking a Social Media Coordinator and Strategist to join a fast‑paced, fully remote digital media team. Based in Portugal, you will manage the daily flow of content across major platforms, ensuring posts are timely, engaging and aligned with brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and publish daily content on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, LinkedIn and YouTube, including breaking news, evergreen and high‑performing recirculated posts.
• Coordinate with social media and editorial teams to guarantee accurate and consistent publishing.
• Adapt publishing plans quickly in response to breaking news, trending topics or platform changes.
• Write compelling captions and social copy that drive audience interaction while maintaining brand voice.
• Monitor performance metrics and provide insights to improve content strategy, engagement and reach.
• Learn and use scheduling, media library and content management tools for tagging, organizing and retrieving assets.
• Identify opportunities to optimise publishing practices and support broader social media strategy.
• Maintain flexible working hours to cover major events or urgent news.

Required profile

• Enthusiasm for major social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, LinkedIn, YouTube).
• Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple publishing tasks in a fast‑moving environment and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written communication and ability to craft concise, engaging copy.
• Quick learner of new software, scheduling platforms and evolving social practices.
• Comfortable adapting schedule for breaking news or special events.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently in a fully remote, desktop‑based setting.
