About the role
Lead the Engineering Hardware and Sensor Systems team within Bosch eBike Systems, driving the development of next‑generation eBike drive units and related technologies.
Key responsibilities
- Provide disciplinary leadership for hardware and sensor engineering and technical leadership for cross‑functional product development projects.
- Plan and control hardware and sensor projects, allocating tasks, prioritising work and ensuring delivery on time, on track and on budget.
- Apply development and problem‑solving methods (BES PE) and design‑to‑cost engineering to maintain competitiveness.
- Establish and coach cross‑domain functional excellence areas, acting as interface between the eBike headquarters and component domains (HW, Layout, ME, SW).
- Own processes for engineering consultants, technical leads and product managers, and manage the interface with the production plant (SMT, AOI, AXI, ICT, EoL) for prototypes and sample builds.
- Benchmark PCBa production technologies for multi‑market eBike products and conduct cross‑domain technology scouting.
Required profile
- University degree in electrical/mechanical engineering, physics, mathematics or a comparable field.
- Several years of experience as a project manager or technical/disciplinary manager of engineers, with solid knowledge of mechanical, hardware, software and digital technologies.
- Ability to read schematic diagrams, organise HW/SW interface alignments and understand hardware and sensor technologies.
- Strategic thinking, clear communication in English and a strong “can‑do” mindset.
