Senior Java Backend Software Engineer

About the role

TeamViewer is looking for an experienced Java Backend Software Engineer to help evolve its Frontline platform, which empowers industrial frontline workers with real‑time assistance on smart glasses, mobile devices and tablets. You will design, build and maintain the backend services that power mission‑critical workflows for customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain backend services and APIs for the Frontline platform.
• Participate in architecture and system design to ensure reliability, scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with frontend and cross‑functional teams to deliver end‑to‑end features.
• Write clean, testable, maintainable code following modern CI/CD practices.
• Engage in peer reviews, pair programming and technical discussions.
• Take ownership of your domain, delivering results with accountability.
• Explore emerging technologies that can enhance platform capabilities.

Required profile

• University or college degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of professional backend development experience or proven senior‑level expertise.
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot (including Spring Data and Spring Security).
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices and distributed system design.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM frameworks (Hibernate).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of security and authentication standards (JWT, OAuth2, OpenAPI).
• Fluency in English.
