Senior IT Auditor

About the role

The Senior IT Auditor will independently lead and execute complex, risk‑based IT audits across systems, applications, infrastructure and cybersecurity within a regulated financial services environment. The role ensures technology risks are identified, controls are effective, and regulatory requirements are met while providing guidance to junior auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and perform risk‑based IT and cyber audits covering IT General Controls, application controls, cybersecurity, cloud environments and emerging technologies.
• Conduct process walkthroughs, assess control design and test operating effectiveness.
• Identify technology and operational risks, evaluate regulatory impacts and develop data‑analytics‑driven audit procedures.
• Prepare high‑quality audit documentation, findings with root‑cause analysis and remediation recommendations.
• Draft and present audit reports to management and stakeholders.
• Serve as a subject‑matter resource on IT and cybersecurity topics and coach staff auditors.
• Monitor industry trends, emerging risks and support continuous improvement of the internal audit function.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related business field.
• 3–6 years of experience in IT audit, internal audit, external audit, technology risk or related cybersecurity roles, preferably in a financial institution.
• Professional certifications such as CISA or CIA are preferred.
